Good morning, Forsyth County.
Forsyth County has a way of making time feel even faster. New restaurants open where something else used to be. Roads you remember as quiet suddenly have turn lanes, medians, and construction barrels. Schools fill up. Neighborhoods appear. Shopping centers change names. Someone mentions “the old” version of a place, and half the room knows exactly what they mean while the other half has no idea it ever existed. That’s part of why local news matters.
It gives us a way to keep up with the place we call home. It helps us understand what is being built, what is being debated, what is closing, what is opening, and what decisions are shaping daily life here. It connects longtime residents with newcomers, parents with schools, neighbors with local businesses, and citizens with the choices being made around them.
In a county that keeps changing, local news helps us remember where we have been, understand where we are, and pay attention to where we are headed.

What happens when "just moisturizer" isn't cutting it anymore?
Most moisturizers are doing one job: hydrating your skin. But hydration alone isn't enough to stop your skin from changing over time. The appearance of fine lines and dullness increase, and the skincare routine that worked at 35 may not be delivering the same results a decade or two later.
That's not a coincidence — with age, the cellular processes driving visible skin aging accelerate in ways that hydration alone can't keep pace with. Most skincare was never designed to address that. OS-01 FACE was.
Developed by longevity scientists after more than a decade of research, it's the first topical designed to address a leading driver of visible skin aging — not just the symptoms of it. Clinically shown to improve visible firmness in 96% of users and the appearance of wrinkles in 87% in just 12 weeks.
Real skincare science, designed for your skin at every age.

THE DIGEST
Forsyth County AED Program Turns Neighbors Into Lifesavers
Forsyth County residents now have another layer of emergency support through the county’s 4 Minute Community Program, a connected AED network designed to help during the first critical minutes of sudden cardiac arrest. In July 2025, the program helped save a Forsyth County resident who collapsed in his neighborhood. A nearby CARE Team volunteer, alerted through the system, arrived with an automated external defibrillator and delivered a shock before emergency crews got there. The program is a partnership between the Forsyth County Fire Department, Northside Hospital Forsyth and Avive. Forsyth is one of only three communities nationwide piloting the effort. About 300 connected AEDs are already placed across the county, and officials plan to expand the network while recruiting more local volunteers willing to help neighbors in an emergency.
Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Expands Outdoor and Therapeutic Programs
Forsyth County residents have more ways to explore the outdoors through Parks & Recreation’s new Specialty Recreation division. Led by Specialty Recreation Manager Whitman Morgan, the division oversees outdoor and therapeutic recreation programs for residents of all ages and abilities. Morgan, who has worked with Forsyth County since 2016, helps develop activities such as kayaking, climbing and outdoor camps, including paddling programs that have become a standout offering. In 2025, he placed third in an American Canoe Association instructor initiative recognizing efforts to introduce new paddlers to the sport. The division uses participant feedback to improve programs and expand opportunities across county parks. Morgan said the goal is to help residents build confidence, try new activities and connect with Forsyth County’s natural spaces.
Forsyth County Schools Earn High Marks in State Climate Ratings
Forsyth County Schools received strong results in the Georgia School Climate Star Ratings, with every school in the district earning at least a 3.75 and many receiving the highest possible score of 5 out of 5. The state rating is used as a diagnostic tool to measure whether schools are creating safe, supportive learning environments. Scores are based on attendance, discipline, safe and substance-free environment data, and school climate survey results collected during the 2024-25 school year. For 2025, the Georgia Department of Education updated its rating calculation to make results clearer and more useful for school improvement. Superintendent Dr. Mitch Young said the ratings reflect the daily work of schools, families and the community to support student success, safety and strong relationships.

THANKS!
Thanks for reading the Forsyth Flyer!
Forsyth County is always moving. A new restaurant opens. A road project changes traffic. A school announcement matters to hundreds of families. A weekend event gets added at the last minute. A local story sparks conversation, and then, just as quickly, it gets buried by the next thing in the feed.
The Flyer is here to slow that down a little. Every issue is meant to help you feel more plugged in to the place you live. If this edition helped you find something to do, learn something useful, or feel a little more connected to Forsyth County, please pass it along to someone else who’d appreciate it. Send it to a neighbor, a friend, another parent, a local business owner, or the person who always says, “I wish I’d known about that sooner.”
And when you come across something the Flyer should include, just reply to this email. Local tips, event notices, openings, closings, community updates, and story ideas all help make this newsletter better.
For the updates that happen between issues, follow the Forsyth Flyer on Facebook and Instagram using the links at the bottom of this email. That’s where I’ll share last-minute events, cancellations, reminders, schedule changes, and quick local notes as they come up.
Thanks again for being here and have a great week!
